The board was not quorate to pass the July minutes but agreed there were no corrections needed.

MATTERS ARISING: |
Sandy has spoken to Iain Erskine about the ferry dvd, Iain will contact the captain of MV Isle of Mull. He also suggested possible wording for a handout to be given to motorists when boarding the ferry. This could be made into a notice to be displayed in holiday accommodation and could also be available for download from the Chamber website.
Police notices on passing places: New police sergeant, Angie MacDonald, should be contacted about this when she takes up her new post.
AP Sandy will contact Holiday Mull to discuss the above.
Roads: AP Sandy will contact Jim Mather about roads. The efficacy of ‘Keep Mull Moving’ was discussed.
Sandy has sent a link to the online ferry report to all board members

FOOD |
Jane has been to several meetings and will be meeting with a CalMac representative to visit Arran.
Food event on ferry unlikely to be possible in September. Might be moved to Rally Week.
Sandy has the schedule of deliveries from Eric Walton who has a huge delivery network throughout Scotland.
Brendan has been discussing the local food initiative with Javier, who should perhaps be invited to attend out next meeting?

CalMac letter |
Michael has drafted a letter in reply to the one received from CalMac. Sandy suggested one addition to the letter which will be sent to Ian Fox. AP Sandy will contact Jo Reade about attending a meeting between CalMac and the Chamber.

POSTCOM: |
Postcom have offered to visit Mull, on Friday 5th September, to address the issue of late arrival of mail onto the island. The Chamber has been asked to invite interested parties to meet the Postcom representatives. AP Sandy will contact Community Council for a list of people who attended a previous meeting about late mail. Suggested location/s for meeting/s Tobermory & Craignure. Main business users of the Royal Mail to be contacted. |

Michael reported a balance of £4221.77. Overpayment by two members should be now resolved. |
